Energy independence for America

If you're reading this right now, you are well aware of the vast potential the United States has to provide for its own energy needs. Americans have dreamed of breaking free from OPEC's grip for decades. Thanks to the energy revolution taking place right before our eyes, the US is on the brink of accomplishing just that.

However, what many don't know is that independent operators are leading the production surge. As of 2012, small and mid-sized operators accounted for over 50% of total US production - up from 39% in 2005.

Payson Petroleum is doing our part throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas. By relying on our own natural resources, we are not only bringing about energy independence, but economic independence. Each well we drill provides jobs for workers, royalty payments for mineral owners and tax revenue for the municipalities where we operate.

Payson Petroleum has set out to be the bridge between an industry standard quality deal, something that an industry professional would be proud to be a part of, and the independent investor.

The Griffin Family

Matt Griffin founded Payson Petroleum in 2008 to give independent investors an opportunity to get in on quality deals. But the idea did not develop out of thin air. The Griffins are an oil and gas family through and through. In fact, there are four oil and gas companies in the family, two of which are publicly traded.

When Matt initially made the transition from real estate to oil and gas 15 years ago, outside observers may have thought it an abrupt change. However, it wasn't so much a change as a home coming. You might say oil is in his blood.
